Wij versterken Bauke’s oproep tot meer “noodzakelijke nationale betrokkenheid bij de zorgen van de inwoners van dit gebied” door de fietsroute zoveel mogelijk aan te kleden met spandoeken\, posters en andere creatieve uitingen die deze zorgen zichtbaar verwoorden. \nWat de rest van onze actieweek zal gaan brengen\, blijft in dit stadium nog even geheim. DESCRIPTION:This workshop is about what good passwords are (and which are not!)\, what a password manager is and how you use one (and why!) and about two factor authentication. Bring your laptop and smartphone to immediately start using these things! Liberate your mind from the tedious task of remembering unsafe passwords AND up your digital security all in one evening! Who wouldn’t want that? \nThis is part of a series of workshops on online security. Each evening will consists of two parts\, first there is explanation and assistance to help you use a tool to increase your online security followed by a discussion about the necessity\, use and effectiveness of the tool. \nDigital technology is everywhere around us. We use it to organize and communicate. Activists who are trying to change the status quo are targeted by government surveillance programs. This can be used for repression or stopping direct actions. But what are their digital weapons? Which tools can they theoretically use? And when are they supposed to be allowed to use them? This course will try to answer these questions and provide you with the tools to protect yourself and the knowledge how to use them effectively. \nThis first workshop will focus on setting up encrypted email with PGP\, so bring your laptop. Also bring your smartphone to install Signal. These are the first steps you can take to start communicating more safely. If you already use this it might still be useful to brush up on your knowledge and evaluate your device security. We will block the dirty coal infrastructure and will state clearly: our house is on fire! We need to get going towards climate justice and put an end to coal immediately! Coal phase-out is manual work! \nThis year\, we want to focus especially on the villages. Because RWE is not only destroying the Hambach Forest and most fertile farmland\, it also destroys people’s homes – over here as well as globally\, from the Pacific islands to Bangladesh and Mozambique. We declare our solidarity with the local resistance on-site and all those affected by brown coal fields. Here\, too\, we say: “Ende Gelände” and call out for joint actions to stop all forced resettlements\, all demolitions\, all clearings\, destruction of land and nature immediately! \nWe will continue to fight with all our energy to make sure that this planet is not driven to the wall by narrow-minded\, site-fixed\, reality-denying rulers. DESCRIPTION:Gezamenlijke informatie avond van Fossielvrij\, Code Rood en Extinction Rebellion over politie & inlichtingendiensten en de klimaatbeweging. Voor klimaatactivisten die vragen hebben over wat de recente aandacht vanuit deze instanties voor ons betekenen. En hoe we daar mee omgaan. \nDe afgelopen maanden zijn zeker vijf klimaatverdedigers die actief zijn voor Fossielvrij\, Exctintion Rebelion en Code Rood benaderd door deels anonieme politie-medewerkers. Hun opdringerige vraag was: wil je voor ons spioneren in je eigen actiegroep en de klimaatbeweging? Zo’n onverwachts bezoek aan huis door de agenten die weigeren te zeggen wie ze zijn is intimiderend. Zeker omdat ze duidelijk laten merken wel alles van jou te weten. Heeft de inlichtingentak van de politie niets beters te doen dan burgers lastig vallen die zich in hun vrije tijd inzetten voor een veilige samenleving in de toekomst? \nOp onze websites lees je kort hoe de inlichtingentak van de politie ons heeft benaderd en hoe wij hier gezamenlijk en publiekelijk op reageren. Tot slot 3 tips over wat jij kunt doen als dit jou overkomt. Want ze zijn duidelijk ‘op jacht’. \n“Je bent ons positief opgevallen”\, zo begonnen de gesprekken met Femke en Bas en de klimaatverdedigers. Daarna kwam de vraag of we informant wilden worden. Of we een relatie wilden opbouwen om regelmatig informatie te delen over de klimaatbeweging. “Dat kan bijvoorbeeld op een bankje in het park. Dan spreken we af dat we oud-collega’s zijn.” We mochten met niemand over het bezoek praten. \nIemand van Extinction Rebellion werd benaderd in de bus\, op weg naar zijn werk. Iemand van Code Rood kreeg een brief thuis\, en werd in zijn voortuin aangesproken. Iemand van Fossielvrij kreeg onverwachts bezoek aan huis. Dit gebeurde allemaal in april 2019. Maar ook een paar jaar geleden is de klimaatbeweging benaderd en staat de klimaatbeweging genoemd in publieke documenten van de inlichtingendiensten als ‘aandachtspunt’. En werden rond onze actie in Groningen verschillende mensen benaderd. En we weten dat politie en inlichtingendiensten al tientallen jaren proberen om informanten te werven in actiegroepen. Het is hun standaard praktijk. \nAls de ze opeens op je stoep staat\, is dat op meerdere manieren intimiderend. Op persoonlijk vlak: er lopen mensen door je huis die je boekenkast scannen en je heel expliciet laten weten dat ze je Facebook strak in de gaten houden. In alle gesprekken werden onderhuidse bedreigingen gedaan. We weten wie je bent\, en niet mee werken kon wel eens consequenties hebben. Gelukkig staat binnen onze organisaties zorgen voor elkaar en solidariteit hoog in het vaandel. En dus hebben de mensen die benaderd werden niet gezwegen over deze nare gesprekken maar steun bij mede activisten gezocht. En komen we nu met een gezamenlijk antwoord. \nWe vinden de aandacht van politie en inlichtingendiensten ongepast. Onze organisaties – Code Rood – Extinction Rebellion en Fossielvrij – brengen geen mensen in gevaar\, zijn transparant en open. Dat zijn noodzakelijke ingrediënten om uit te groeien tot de brede burgerbeweging die nodig is om de klimaatcrisis nog enigszins binnen de perken te houden. We zijn soms burgerlijk ongehoorzaam\, maar doen dat altijd met open vizier. Aan de andere kant zien we de aandacht van de AIVD ook als blijk van waardering. Blijkbaar is wat we doen zo effectief dat we een bedreiging zijn geworden voor de status quo. \nWe zijn een open beweging en precies dat maakt ons sterk. We zijn niet te stoppen\, zelfs als ze precies weten wat we van plan zijn. Bovendien is de klimaatcrisis te belangrijk\, we zijn niet bang voor de juridische risico’s die we soms moeten nemen. En om dat te benadrukken publiceren we vandaag samen met Fossielvrij en Exctintion Rebellion een gezamenlijke open briefin het NRC aan de inlichtingentak van de politie. NRC publiceerde ook een eigen artikel. \nTips: Wat moet je doen als je wordt benaderd door politie of AIVD? \n1. Ga niet in gesprek of kap een lopend contact af\nHelaas zijn dit soort benaderingen door politie of AIVD legaal in Nederland en gebeurt het regelmatig. We raden iedereen aan om niet met ze in gesprek te gaan en het gesprek af te kappen zodra je weet waarvoor ze komen. Ben je op hun ‘aanbod’ ingegaan en heb je toegezegd mee te werken? Stop er mee. Het is je recht om het gesprek en het contact af te kappen en dat heeft geen juridische gevolgen. Hoe langer je praat\, hoe meer ze je onder druk zullen zetten om door te gaan. En daar zijn ze vaak niet zachtzinnig in. \n2. Praat erover\, wees open\nHebben ze je (ooit) benaderd? Of ben je al in gesprek met ze? Vraag om hulp. Bijvoorbeeld bij Buro Jansen & Janssen. Zij zijn de ‘watchdog’ van de Inlichtingendiensten. Desgewenst houden zij jouw identiteit anoniem. Praat er ook over met je mede-activisten. Het is niets om je voor te schamen\, het kan iedereen overkomen. En omdat het een intimiderende ervaring kan zijn\, moeten we iedereen die dit is overkomen helpen. \n3. Word niet paranoia\nWaar we ook voor willen waarschuwen is paranoia. Ja\, soms hebben we iets te verbergen. Zeker als we burgerlijk ongehoorzame acties plannen. Maar te veel geheimzinnigheid of wantrouwen naar nieuwe mensen gaat ons alleen maar in de weg staan. En dat is precies waar de ze op uit zijn. Senior managers van Shell – waaronder de voormalige CEO Peter Voser – wisten dat er steekpenningen zouden worden betaald om de deal rond te krijgen. Dit is een ander schandalig voorbeeld van de misdaden die Shell heeft gepleegd en die werd ondersteund vanuit het hoofdkantoor in Den Haag.\n\n\n \n\n\nHet is nog onbeslist of het Openbaar Ministerie Shell zal vervolgen en de optie voor een schikking ligt nog steeds op tafel. We steunen de coalitie en vinden het in het algemeen belang dat er een rechtsproces komt waarin kan worden blootgelegd hoe en waarom Shell betrokken was bij zaken als deze.\n\n\n \n\n\nWe doen een beroep op het parlement om het bedrijf kritisch te bekijken en Shell ter verantwoording te roepen. Nevertheless\, the German government supports coal power stations and continues the expansion of the biggest lignite coal mines of Europe; the Garzweiler and Hambach mines in the Rhineland near Cologne\, just 30km over the border with the Netherlands. \nTo expand these coal mines\, fertile agricultural land and centuries old villages such as Manheim\, Keyenberg\, Borschemich\, Immerath and Morschenich are continuously being evicted and destroyed. The last remaining part of the unique 12.000 year old Hambacher Forst is also in danger of being cut down. The people who have been occupying the forest to protect it are being violently harrassed by the police. This needs to stop! \nSo what can you do? This evening we will inform you about the possibilities for you to join the Ende Gelände mass civil disobedience actions against coal infrastructure that will take place between 19 and 24th of June this year. SUMMARY:Burgerlijke Ongehoorzaamheidsactie Groningen
DESCRIPTION:Woensdagochtend schrokken de provincie Groningen en delen van de stad wakker door een aardbeving met een kracht van 3.4\, met Westerwijtwerd als epicentrum. De beving behoort tot de top 3 zwaarste bevingen in de provincie\, en komt nog geen 1.5 jaar na de beving in Zeerijp\, die tevens een magnitude van 3.4 had. \nTegen de gevolgen van gaswinning werd woensdagmiddag nabij het epicentrum geprotesteerd door landbouwers en melkveehouders\, die met hun trekkers een symbolisch epicentrum in een weiland vormden. In Westerwijtwerd uitten inwoners hun woede door de vlag halfstok te hangen. Tevens werd door de gemeenteraad van Appingedam een motie van machteloosheid tegen Den Haag aangenomen waarmee ze de regering oproepen om met een snelle oplossing te komen die mensen boven financieel gewin stelt. \nDeze meeste recente aardbeving vergroot voor Groningers het gevoel van onveiligheid\, en versterkt de heersende verontwaardiging over de versterkingsoperatie\, schadeafhandelingen\, en het afbouwen van de gaswinning. De tijd van medeleven en excuses is geweest – het is tijd voor daden! En gezien het gebrek aan politieke daadkracht\, is nú het moment voor Groningen om een duidelijk signaal af te geven dat de gaskraan nu écht dicht moet. \nCode Rood Groningen roept daarom op tot actie! Op maandag 27 mei zullen wij vanaf 08.00 uur – en zolang als redelijkerwijs mogelijk is – de Gasunie blokkeren en daarmee hun dagelijkse gang van zaken ontwrichten in solidariteit met de Groningers wier levens ontwricht zijn. Sluit je bij ons aan en help ons zo lang en zo groots mogelijk stand te houden! \nDe Gasunie is 100% in handen van de Nederlandse Staat en valt onder de verantwoordelijkheid van het Ministerie van Economische Zaken en Klimaat. De Gasunie is belast met het transport en de opslag van gas\, en is daarmee onderdeel van de gaswinnende bureaucratie. Hun nieuwe stikstoffabriek zorgt ervoor dat we meer hoogcalorisch gas uit het buitenland kunnen importeren\, maar dat is een verplaatsing van het probleem en draagt níet bij aan een duurzame energietransitie. Het Ministerie van Economische Zaken & Klimaat is vooral een Ministerie van Economische Zaken\, die winstbelang boven welzijn blijft stellen. Wij willen de Staat daarom in haar portemonnee raken\, aangezien zij weigert de portemonnee te trekken voor Groningers. \nActie-ervaring is niet noodzakelijk voor de blokkade\, en je kunt er ook voor kiezen om een ondersteunende rol te spelen. Gezien de potentiële duur van de actie raden we iedereen aan om slaapspullen mee te nemen en warme\, comfortabele kleding. Zorg daarnaast ook voor een ruime hoeveelheid water\, eten en snackjes (we gaan daarnaast ook eten verzorgen)\, en neem banners mee als je die hebt! \nOm 07.00 uur verzamelen we op maandag op het eerste grote grasveld rechts van de ingang van het Stadspark aan de Laan 1940-1945. DESCRIPTION:Digital technology is everywhere around us. We use it to organize and communicate. Activists who are trying to change the status quo are targeted by government surveillance programs. This can be used for repression or stopping direct actions. But what are their digital weapons? Which tools can they theoretically use? And when are they supposed to be allowed to use them? This course will try to answer these questions and provide you with the tools to protect yourself and the knowledge how to use them effectively. \nThis first workshop will focus on setting up encrypted email with PGP\, so bring your laptop. Also bring your smartphone to install Signal. These are the first steps you can take to start communicating more safely. If you already use this it might still be useful to brush up on your knowledge and evaluate your device security. Otherwise you are welcome to join a later workshop. \nThis is part of a series of workshops on online security. It is where they openly decide to carry on their destructive business-as-usual. \nDue to the endless efforts of countless dedicated people around the world\, every year\, the opposition to Shell grows faster than their profits: \n• In what has been described as “an unmitigated defeat for big oil”\, Shell abandoned its controversial drilling operations in the Arctic in 2015 – thanks to Greenpeace International and other groups.\n• Currently Shell is facing several historic lawsuits for its horrific crimes against humanity and nature (#ogoni9 & Klimaatzaak).\n• Groninger Bodem Beweging and the people in Groningen who suffer the consequences of gas extraction are standing up and were supported by a mass blockade of NAM/Shell infrastructure organised by Code Rood last year.\n• Fossil Free Culture NL has succeeded in liberating several institutions from Shell sponsorship.\n• Fossielvrij Onderwijs Den Haag defeated Shell in its home base\, forcing the company to move its greenwashing festival “Generation Discover” out of The Hague.\n• And just last month our comrades from Extinction Rebellion NL occupied and glued themselves to the Shell headquarters in The Hague. \nIt seems to us like the time is ripe for an all-out offensive against Shell and for climate justice. \nCode Rood will mark this 2019 shareholder meeting by launching its 2020 Declaration\, to be delivered both inside and outside the AGM. DESCRIPTION:Naast de burgerlijke ongehoorzaamheidsactie van Code Rood zal er door lokale groepen ook een volledig legale demonstratie tegen de gaswinning worden georganiseerd op 28 augustus. Deze demonstratie is uiteraard voor iedereen toegankelijk.\nEr is ook een Facebook event\, met de laatste info: deel\, like\, en zet jezelf op ‘go’!\nHieronder een kopie van de beschrijving bij dit fb event: \n\nDe gaskraan moet dicht en alle aardbevingsschade moet worden vergoed. Maar de NAM\, Shell en Exxon blijven maar doorpompen.\nEn de regering laat het gebeuren.\nSamen keren we het tij. Doe mee!\nTijdens het Gronings Ontzet\, op 28 augustus\, houden we een zitblokkade bij de NAM-locatie in Farmsum\, bij Delfzijl. We kunnen ons voorstellen dat niet iedereen daaraan mee kan doen. Voor al die mensen organiseren wij op dezelfde dag een grote demonstratie: MASSAAL TEGEN GAS!\nOm 19.30 verzamelen we op het Commandementsplein\, op vijf minuten loopafstand van station Delfzijl (eindstation). Op het plein zullen verschillende genodigden de menigte toespreken. Hierna lopen we richting het NAM-tankenpark om de mensen die daar het tankenpark blokkeren een hart onder de riem te steken. Daarna lopen we gezamenlijk terug naar het Commandementsplein\, waar de demonstratie muzikaal wordt afgesloten. De tocht duurt ongeveer een uur.\nNeem je buren\, je kinderen\, je vrienden en grootouders mee: 28 augustus komen wij in actie\, MASSAAL TEGEN GAS!\nP.S\nWij vragen demonstranten een spandoek van 50 bij 50 centimeter mee te nemen met hierop een persoonlijke boodschap voor de NAM. Tijdens de zitblokkade zullen deze aan een groter spandoek vast gemaakt worden\, om een stem te geven aan degene die niet bij de demonstratie kunnen zijn en om inzichtelijk te maken dat vele kleine boodschappen samen iets groots vormen.\nP.P.S\nDe demonstratie en de zitblokkade zijn onderdeel van de ACTIEWEEK IN GRONINGEN van 24 tot 31 augustus. Je kan hier een gevarieerd programma volgen van workshops\, trainingen en open discussies over de gaswinning en een fossielvrije samenleving. ‘s Avonds is er kampvuur en muziek. SUMMARY:Actie: Massaal Tegen Gas
DESCRIPTION:Van 24 tot 31 augustus organiseren we een groot klimaatkamp in Groningen (exacte locatie volgt). Honderden mensen uit Stad en ommeland\, Nederland en daarbuiten zullen hier samenkomen voor een gevarieerd programma van workshops\, trainingen en debatten. Tijdens het kamp kun je je gedegen voorbereiden op de burgerlijke ongehoorzaamheidsactie die gepland is rondom 28 augustus\, Gronings Ontzet\, met als doel de gaswinning in Groningen te ontregelen. Er zijn verschillende manieren om de actie te steunen\, zowel op het kamp als daarbuiten. Iedereen kan een belangrijke bijdrage leveren!\nOp dinsdag 28 augustus\, de dag van het Gronings Ontzet\, komen we massaal in actie om het NAM tankenpark in Farmsum te blokkeren en met onze lichamen tankwagens met giftig aardgascondensaat tegen te houden. Dit doen we omdat het tankenpark een belangrijk knooppunt in de infrastructuur van de gaswinning door de NAM is. Het aardgascondensaat moet namelijk van de winningslocaties afgevoerd worden per tankwagen. Door de tankwagens voor de ingang van het tankenpark te blokkeren\, zullen wij de gaswinning door de NAM sterk ontregelen op een veilige manier. \nOnze zitblokkade kan meer dan één dag duren en is op fietsafstand van het kamp. Met de massale burgerlijke ongehoorzaamheidsactie nemen we het heft in eigen hand om de gaskraan echt dicht te krijgen en vergoeding te eisen voor bevingsschade. Een gedetailleerde actieoproep vind je hier.\n \nEen groot deel van de collectieve organisatie en voorbereiding van de actie zal op het kamp plaats vinden. Het zwaartepunt ligt op maandag. Dan zullen er de hele dag actietrainingen plaats vinden die als warming-up voor de actie gelden. Ook zijn er verschillende sessies voor het vormen van ‘affiniteitsgroepen’ en kan je informatie krijgen over juridische aspecten/risico’s. Daarnaast kunnen er spandoeken en andere attributen gemaakt worden en zullen er workshops zijn over o.a. politieverhoor\, EHBO tijdens acties en omgaan met gebeurtenissen met hoog stressniveau.\n\nMaandagavond zal de laatste plenaire actiebriefing plaats vinden (de eerste is op zondagavond). Dit is ook het laatste moment om je nog aan te sluiten bij een van groepen (‘vingers’) die op maandag vanaf het kamp naar het NAM tankenpark in Farmsum vertrekken.\n\nHoe meer je van deze uitgebreide collectieve voorbereiding op het kamp mee kan krijgen hoe beter.\n\nMocht het voor jou echt niet mogelijk zijn om naar het kamp te komen\, bijvoorbeeld omdat je op maandag nog moet werken of omdat je op vakantie bent tot en met maandag\, dan is het ook mogelijk om op dinsdag 28 augustus om 12.00 uur ‘s middags naar het verzamelpunt bij het voormalige ziekenhuis in Delfzijl te komen. Van daar zal er om 12.30 uur richting het tankenpark in Farmsum gelopen worden.\n\nVoor de actie zijn er een aantal dingen die belangrijk zijn om te weten voordat je arriveert. Om de actie transparant en toegankelijk te maken voor alle deelnemers is er een actieconsensus opgesteld: “Wij zeggen wat wij doen\, en we doen wat we zeggen”. Het is belangrijk dat je op de hoogte bent van de inhoud van deze actieconsensus\, evenals de veiligheidsvoorschriften. \nHier vind je verder informatie over: \n\nActieoproep\nActieconsensus\nAffiniteitsgroepen\nPaklijst voor de actie\nActietrainingen\nVeiligheid\nJuridische informatie\nOndersteuning & herstel\nFAQ\n\nIn voorbereiding op de actie zijn er een aantal actietrainingen ingepland.
