You can divide the burden between the members of your affinity group.<\/span><br \/>\n<i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Essentials:<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An (action) bicycle so we can move flexibly and quickly to the action location<\/span><\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Equipment to stay overnight at the blockade: a sleeping bag, warm\/thermal clothing and possibly a sleeping pad<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Good shoes<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Old, comfortable clothes that can get dirty, with long legs to protect from the sun<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Blankets (against sun, rain, cold)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lunch, snacks and sweet stuff (raisins, nuts, grains, dry fruit,\u2026)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lots of water (min 3 liters per person)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">First aid kit<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Security blanket, against sun and cold<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Medicine, such as for hay fever (if needed)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Alcohol-based<\/span> sunscreen (because pepper spray attaches to fatty substances)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nice to bring with you:<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Banners and flags<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Decorations<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We may well be sitting for quite a whole during the blockade. What things to bring can you think of to entertain ourselves and each other? Think of decks of cards, music instruments, a poem, a workshop, and so on. As long as it\u2019s manageable to carry and safe!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em> A list of things not to take with you during the action :<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anything containing information on you or on us, for example your phone or agenda, if you decide to stay anonymous.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anything that may be considered to be a weapon (don\u2019t even take your smallest pocket knife)<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Do not bring sunscreen that is not alcohol-based. Do not use make-up. Do not wear contact lenses. Why? If the police decide to use pepper spray, then this attaches to fatty substances.
