June 24, 2017: Code Rood in the Amsterdamse <\/strong>Coal harbour<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The first mass civil disobedience action against fossil fuels was a \ngreat success! More than 300 people occupied the coal harbor of \nAmsterdam, pushing it to close down all activity for the day. We ruled \nthe industry today, but the fight against the fossil industries \ncontinues. We will continue with our actions in the future: oil, coal \nand gas must stay in the ground!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our action added to the pressure and the opening of the discussion \naround the coal harbour of Amsterdam. The municipality and the harbour \ncompany now see that it is a dead end. Even in Rotterdam there is now a \ndiscussion about the pointless extention of the EMO contract, and the \nlocal resistance has our full support. We put the transporting of coal \nas a problem on the agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
