After some scheming, the time has come to announce our plans for next\n year. Shell: we know how they disrespect land rights, human rights, \nlocal law, tax rules and all life on the planet, and we cannot justify \nthat their climate destroying business as usual <\/em>continues any longer. So: #ShellMustFall<\/a>! And what better place to announce our new plans than at their annual shareholders meeting? <\/p>\n\n\n\n More about Shell Must Fall!, Ende Gel\u00e4nde, Free the Soil and a few \nwords on the intelligence services and het Actiefonds in this \nnewsletter. Next year we will take mass action to block the shareholders meeting \nof Shell! Code Rood was present at the last AGM at the Circustheater in \nScheveningen to talk about human right violations, earthquakes in \nGroningen, and the lies and lies and lies that Shell has spread. We \nannounced: Shell Must Fall! Although the suits on the podium stressed \nthe importance of \u2018transparency\u2019 and \u2018social licence to operate\u2019 (notice\n the \u2018lie\u2019 in \u2018licence\u2019), it was not allowed to film or photograph \ninside. We did manage to spread two of the videos already, one of a \nspokeswoman who announces our action in name of Code Rood<\/a>, and one of a spokeswoman, speaking in name of our coalition partner Climate Liberation Bloc about climate racism<\/a>.\n Share, like and talk about it with everyone, because these videos are \nthe announcement of our action! Together with the Gastivists, Climate \nLiberation Bloc, you, and thousands of others, we will block the AGM \nnest year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Shell Must Fall Get Involved<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n 5 June in Utrecht is ons our first info talk at the ACU. The program will most likely be in Dutch but whisper translation can be arranged. Bring your friends! <\/p>\n\n\n\n Shell Must Fall Speaker training<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n 8 June in Amsterdam we are organising a \u2018speaker training\u2019. Do you \nwant to help tell the story of how and why Shell Must Fall? Can you help\n mobilising, do you want to talk to the media, or contribute to our \ncampaign? We love your involvement!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Shell Must Fall infotour (Groningen)<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n On June 15th in Groningen: the Shell Must Fall Info-tour. A night \nabout Shell where different people suffering under the destructive \npractices of Shell will speak. Cort Fossen will speak on behalf of the \nGroninger Bodem Beweging, Olarenwaju Suraju, the director of Civil \nSociety Network Against Corruption, will speak about human \nrights violations in Nigeria. Furthermore, Nicholas Hildyard, of the \nCornerhouse and people from Code Rood will take the stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n INTELLIGENCE SERVICES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n At least 5 climate protectors from Fossil Free Netherlands, \nExtinction Rebellion and Code Rood have been approached by the \nintelligence services of the Dutch police force over the past few \nmonths. Their intrusive question was: Do you want to spy in your own \naction group and the wider climate movement? This kind of unexpected \nvisit by police who refuse to identify themselves is intimidating. \nParticularly because they know a lot about you. We wonder: Doesn\u2019t the \npolice have better things to do than harass people who spend their free \ntime working on a better society? <\/p>\n\n\n\n On our website you can read more about how we have been approached \nand what our response is (in Dutch, unfortunately). For \nclimate activists who have questions about the recent attention \nthat these institution have directed at us, what it means for us and how\n we deal with it. It’ll be on Monday, June 17th, at 19.30 @ Milieucentrum Utrecht (Oudegracht 60)<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n ENDE GELANDE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The idea for Code Rood started in the bus back from an Ende \nGel\u00e4nde Action in Germany. If it is possible in Germany to block fossil \nfuel infrastructure with more than a hundred people, then mass civil \ndisobedience must also be possible in The Netherlands! And it was. On \nWednesday 19th and Thursday 20th June busses will leave from the \nNetherlands to the Rheinland, for the 6th Ende Gel\u00e4nde Action. You can \ntravel on you own to the climate camp to take part int he action or \nlegal demo, or make a reservation for a place in our bus with this link<\/a>. Sunday night the bus will take you back again. Read on this website what you can expect and how you can prepare yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you can\u2019t come but don\u2019t want to miss it: we will make livestreams, so check our facebook for updates!<\/p>\n\n\n\n FREE THE SOIL<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Free\n the Soil is a campaign to expose the devastating practices and impacts \nof industrial agriculture and the major role this industry plays in the \nescalating climate crisis. <\/a>Free the Soil organises a mass-action of civil disobedience<\/a> against the fertilizer-company YARA, as well as an Agriculture & Climate-Justice Camp<\/a> between\n the 19th and 25th of September 2019 near Brunsb\u00fcttel (Northern \nGermany). More information on the camp, the action and how to get \ninvolved can be found on their website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n THE \u2018ACTIEFONDS\u2019 NEEDS SUPPORT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The \u2018Actiefonds\u2019 has been supporting activists fighting against\n injustice and inequality around the world for more than 50 years. To be\n able to continue this important work in the future, the fund needs new \nsupporters.
