Our next action conference is coming! It will be\u00a0a nice day full of creativity which we need for brainstorming, thinking and\u00a0discussing\u00a0about what our next target will be. We will be thinking about the\u00a0strategic and symbolic value, the feasibility and of course if it will be\u00a0disrupting for the industry! And for all of this, we need you to be there!
Besides this, we are also organising buses to\u00a0the Ende Gelande action in November,\u00a0and we have some other updates for you. In this\u00a0newsletter you will find:<\/p>\n
1. ACTION CONFERENCE: TOWARDS A NEW ACTION PLAN!<\/b> Third: Help facilitating at the\u00a0conference.<\/b>\u00a0We are still\u00a0looking for people that want to help facilitating the brainstorm- and\u00a0elaboration-sessions. This is mainly about facilitating small groups with their\u00a0process of brainstorming, creating new ideas and elaborating on these\u00a0ideas.\u00a0Experience with facilitating is not necessary to help and get involved! If you\u00a0are interested, send an email to\u00a0facilitatie@lists.riseup.net<\/a>. They will inform you about the\u00a0plans!<\/p>\n
The 21st of october is coming and that means we are going to think\u00a0about\u00a0our goals for next year. The location of the conference is\u00a0In De\u00a0Ruimte<\/a>\u00a0in Utrecht: Oudegracht 230 a\/d werf, 3511 Utrecht. You are welcome\u00a0from 9.30 on.\u00a0Please register on the website!<\/a>\u00a0The main\u00a0question on the conference will be: in 2018, how can we disrupt and obstruct\u00a0the fossil-fuel industry by means of a mass civil disobedience\u00a0action with as\u00a0many people as possible? In other words:\u00a0Code\u00a0Rood 2018, what are we going to do?!<\/b>

2. HELP TO MAKE THE ACTION CONFERENCE SUCCESSFUL:<\/b>
We need you to make it successful: together we are Code Rood! Everyone involved\u00a0is a volunteer which means that anyone can get\u00a0involved! We have three things\u00a0anyone can do, two of which you can even fulfill from your couch.\u00a0
First of all: register\u00a0here<\/a>\u00a0on the website if you are\u00a0planning to come!\u00a0This will help us assessing what\u00a0we need to prepare.\u00a0
Second of all: help us mobilise!<\/b><\/p>\n\n
Furthermore, during the day everyone can apply to\u00a0help translating from Dutch to English. We also need some hands for building up\u00a0(at 9:00) and also for cleaning up the place (at 19:00).
3. BUS TO ENDE GEL\u00c4NDE BONN<\/b>
At the start of november 2017 the 23rd VN\u00a0Climate Conference will be held in Bonn. This is in the backyard of the\u00a0lignite-mines of the\u00a0Rheinland, the biggest source of CO2-emission in Europe.\u00a0During the summit the world\u2019s focus will be on Bonn, so that\u2019s why this is THE\u00a0moment to loudly and clearly state that we demand a just transition to a fair\u00a0and sustainable society without fossil-fuels right NOW!
That is why Code Rood, Fossielvrij NL, GroenFront! en Jongeren Milieu Actief\u00a0arranged multiple buses that will leave from the\u00a0Netherlands in the direction\u00a0of Bonn. Two buses will leave on friday the 3rd of november and return on\u00a0monday the 6th. One bus will leave\u00a0on friday the 3rd of november and will\u00a0return on tuesday the 7th of november (in the evening).

Action training, Utrecht, 22nd of october<\/b>
Actually doing an action is not something you do every day. A good\u00a0preparation is essential, and therefore we organise, together with\u00a0Stroomversnellers<\/a>, an action training to be well\u00a0prepared for the Ende Gelande action on sunday the 5th of november close to\u00a0Bonn. If you\u00a0want to participate, please register at the\u00a0website<\/a>.\u00a0
Reading-group Hegemony How-To, Amsterdam, 15th of november<\/b>
It\u2019s time to talk strategy. How do we actually change the world? How do we\u00a0grow in numbers as well as in diversity? How do we increase\u00a0political\u00a0consciousness and activity in people who are not yet active? What are the next\u00a0steps to take? We don\u2019t have to agree on everything\u00a0but it\u2019s necessary to\u00a0collectively think about this. This will be a horizontally organized reading\u00a0group. The book \u2018Hegemony How-To\u2019 from\u00a0Jonathan Smucker will be the leading\u00a0subject of the discussions. The location will be\u00a0The Nieuwland<\/a>\u00a0in Amsterdam. Action conference #2, Utrecht, 25th of november<\/b>
On this conference the more elaborated plans will be presented so that we\u00a0can decide on the what and the where of our next big action.\u00a0How and where can\u00a0we be most effective as a movement? And when will the action take place? These\u00a0will be the decisions made on the\u00a0second action conference. You can already\u00a0register on the\u00a0website<\/a>!
5. LAWSUITS<\/b>
During the occupation of the\u00a0coal-company in the Amsterdam harbour on the 24th of june 2017, 13 people were\u00a0arrested in two separate\u00a0groups. We want to mobilise as many people as we can to attend the\u00a0lawsuits\u00a0and show our support for and solidarity with all the people that\u00a0actively resist the social as well as ecological destruction caused by the\u00a0fossil-fuel industry and the immense structural violence of coal in particular.\u00a0The lawsuits have been moved to another date, which is not yet known. We will communicate this as soon as possible, so a large group of people can show support. Follow\u00a0this event<\/a>\u00a0for more information and the\u00a0most recent\u00a0updates!

Steungroep NVDA. Besides this, you can also contribute to the\u00a0juridical costs for the 13 comrades that are still being\u00a0persecuted.
