This mobilization is taking place in solidarity with a number of coastline communities around the world, impacted by the devastation of companies like Shell, Repsol, Wintershall or Equinor.
❓WHY❓
🇵🇪 A catastrophic oil spill by Spanish oil & gas multinational Repsol is affecting over 20 beaches in Perú, devastating marine life & ecosystems, threatening the health & livelihoods of thousands of locals. The company denies his fault in the spill and refuses to pay for the clean up or pay reparations to affected people. 😡

🇦🇷 In Argentina thousands are mobilising against two other European fossil fuels companies (Shell & Equinor) as they are about to set foot with seismic surveys, deep-water drilling and fracking. The local communities say no, and #NOisNO❗
These eco criminals are destroying and polluting the ocean, disturbing and killing 🐳 whales, 🐬 dolphins, sea lions, turtles and all species who are living in the marine ecosystems. They are destroying the homelands of Indigenous peoples and local communities.
🇿🇦 However, recent victories achieved by local resistance campaigns wich have succedded to thwart the plans of some of such companies like Shell and Equinor – from the coast of South Africa, Australia, as well as from the Combo oilfield in Scotland 🏴showed us that we are #strongertogether.
