IMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING OUR MAY 19TH ACTION

We wanted to share with you some details regarding the municipality’s response to our action on May 19th. The municipality restricted our 1.5 meter demo to a maximum of 30 people citing the Corona crisis. We are working with a lawyer to appeal this decision that severely limits our right to demonstrate.

However, these kinds of obstacles will not stop us.

We have a right to stand up for what is right, and we will be doing so in a way that prioritizes the health and safety of all people! Therefore, we have broadened our protest with two alternative locations in the Hague so that everybody can join us. We are currently working on a logistical plan for this so bear with us! As of midnight, you will no longer be able to sign up using the form – so please fill it in before the deadline if you would like to join us in The Hague. Even if you can’t come, there will still be plenty of opportunities to tell Shell how you feel about their dirty practices!

ORGANIZE YOUR OWN LOCAL ACTION

The best alternative if you cannot make it to The Hague is to organize your own action in your home city! Take a look at our action kit for more ideas and information that will help you be impactful, effective, and safe. You can also get in touch with us if you would like to be connected to an existing demonstration in your city! There are already a few surprise actions in development…

JOIN US ONLINE

Over the coming days we will also be sharing additional information as to how you can support us through a digital action! There will be plenty of opportunities for you to join us digitally from home, including an online protest. More details coming soon!
